What is the 12 Day Officers system (十二值日)?

The 12 Day Officers (建除满平定执破危成收开闭) is a traditional Chinese system where each day is assigned one of 12 'officer' roles based on the interaction between the day's earthly branch and the month's earthly branch. Each officer has specific activities it favors — for example, 成 (Success) is excellent for weddings and business openings, while 破 (Break) should be avoided for new ventures.

How are the officers calculated?

Each day has a ganzhi (干支) stem-branch combination from the 60-day cycle. The officer is determined by the relationship between the day's branch and the current month's branch. Starting from the month branch as '建' (Establish), each subsequent branch gets the next officer in sequence.

Which activities are supported?
